I would like to put the record straight at the very outset that I am no atheist nor am I suffering from any depression. On the contrary I am a very grateful person for all the kindness and blessings received from the almighty in my life. All I am against is the portrayal of god in all our mythologies and our philosophical books. It seems that gods only hobby is to judge and hand out punishments. Even if we venture to be happy in this lifetime we are more likely to face his wrath in the next. The crux of my blog is that we do not have a positive and vibrant religion which enables us to lead a good and happy life. All that we are able to feel is a pall of gloom when we read all the religious books. A few exceptions to all this sombre philosophies can be gleaned from the writings of Swami Vivekananda and Sri Sri. Has God created us only for the purpose of his enjoyment and am I merely puppet on a chain. Where is the Kingdom of god.............. to be continued .

Musings on why is hinduism so unattractive
Recently I was reading the Bagavath Gita; I had read this earlier too. However this time I noticed something which I had not noticed earlier and I also felt something I had not felt before. Maybe it was what I noticed made me feel so. The whole book was so negative for a person intending to lead a happy life on this earth in a very reasonable manner. The book has a recurring theme which was buddy you are finished if you try to be happy in this world. The whole purpose of my existence; notwithstanding my wife, child, parents, relations and my work etc etc revolves only around satisfying the god who chooses not to express his care or love in the life of so many suffering souls.
